beauties

bought these beauties on ebay, so excited to receive them and get my prescription put in! my black ones are falling apart, the hinges are coming out on the right side... so yep, time for a slight change (emphasis on slight, they are pretty much the same glasses). 

cabane a sucre

we had a huge feast, where all kinds of yummy treats were served to us, AND there was an all you can eat buffet with all kinds of tasty extras and desserts. Spoiler also downed some of that syrup you see in the whine bottle. 

despite everyone thinking I was grabbing his balls, I was not, I am simply short thus the picture turned out this way.

Spoiler is from Belgium, it was his first cabane a sucre experience.

I really wanted Dan to pick one of them up but he wouldn't do it.

after the feast and animal farm and emma puking out back, we ended off our day drinking the syrup straight from the source. It was Dan's idea. 

So overall, cabane a sucre was fun times. I hadn't been in like 3 years. we had made reservations, yet somehow when we got there they were trying to make us wait in this 2hour line up. Dan asked to speak with the manager and told them he was outraged due to the fact he had a flight to catch at 5pm. we got snuck in through the back, at our faces off, and I'm pretty sure we were still there chasing pigs when 5pm rolled around. 

murder

so I just found out that this dude I was friends with in middle school when I lived in New-Brunswick, committed murder. like, real straight up murder, shot a guy, killed him dead. his name is  Daniel Dion (his name will bring you to a news paper article) and he dated one of my bestfriends when we were in grade 6. he came to my parties and my grandmother used to think he was hyper and "cute". well now he went and killed someone. what the hell.

most incredible boy

this is Dave, for those who do not know him. just thought I'd write a few words, because he's an amazing guy who I don't give nearly enough credit to. he's a genuine solid dude, he has a heart of gold, and is simply a good person, the best there is. I adore this boy, and consider myself to be a very lucky gal to have a friend like him.

Ottawa

needed to step out of the city for a fiver so I went to Ottawa and got weird

best man alive, moving to Mtl this month, I am so stoked to hang with him and his girlie 

cutest dog alive looks like the little white snow wolves in the arctic, his name is Berry

three amigos meets recession

my beloved 49cent sunday tacos are now 69cents. pff. if they ever reach a buck I am boycotting them all together, however delish the tofu ones may be. 

EN MASSE

went to an art show last saturday. it was fun. Ev and a bunch of other artists drew all over the walls of a gallery down in the old port. saw lots of friends that I hadn't seen in a while, overall good times. 

all smiles

stuff that's got me smiling as of late:

1- Ava coming back to the Y after school where I work (she had stopped coming last June, and she is the most amazing kid ever ever ever I had missed her so much)

2- survived mid-terms and now have extra time for doing rad stuff that I like such as: see just below..

3- super mario three on supernintendo and my tag-team partner in beating this game

4- Dan Sauve's baby siamese cat who is black and white and oh so adorable, and our neighborly-visits because we are neighbors 

5- Nessy because she always makes me smile for just being Nessy 

6- the snow is starting to melt and warmer weather is just around the corner (and biking places again because I am too much of a wuss to bike during the winter)

7- the mass amount of study buddies I have managed to accumulate who make school work not so dull and dreadful due to our coffee and falafel breaks and the laughter factor we share of "bros" in the library 

8- Zero chocolate bars introduced to me by Spoiler, mmm mmm good (only buy them if they are refrigerated), and yes Spoiler when I eat them I do feel as though they are enhancing my quality of life

finals

so umm I've basically been library bound since last monday/ will continue to be so until tuesday evening. final exams are stressful, depressing, and make you consume unnecessary amounts of caffeine  (see photo above, discouraged face, playing with photo-booth instead of studying). 

SPECIAL THANKS to the following people for making these times a little less of a bummer: David McNeil, high levels of cortisol are correlated to depression, totally stoked for our social psych class next semester, Bronson Zgeb, studying in a "bumpin' club" was interesting at least it smelled amazing in there, Sean Braithwaite, sushi/best cake of life/tea so crucial for brain power, sexto sentido BIG LOLZ, Adam Darton, "how do you get spaces? where are mine?... oh... make my spaces go away" time and again you help me fix my computer so patiently, and last but certainly not least Shaun Pearson, I love how we high five after solving stats problems, I think we are study buddies for life since we pretty much have every single class together this year, thank you for making this semester good times I would not have survived without you.
